During my exchange semester in New Zealand, I took a class called "Advanced Advertising and Promotion." Our semester-long project was to pitch a thorough marketing plan to a national company, V Energy, to promote their new natural energy drink line V Pure. I was the art director of the team, in charge of mocking up and delivering all potential creative.

In the vein of #MyCalvins, I wanted our core audience (which we found was health-conscious university students) to connect with the brand, and feel ownership of their V Pure experience. We wanted to use everyday young adults living in New Zealand, detailing how V Pure helped them in their activities i.e. dirt bike riding, getting inspired for art, etc. The handwritten aspect was included to make the ads and brand relatable. There would be an opportunity for everyday consumers to also be featured in future billboards.
We also targeted the university bar scene. Potential consumers would use V Pure as an alternative to other soft drinks while drinking alcohol. Staying in line with the relatable aspect, I created ads that introduced young adults in New Zealand and their alcoholic V Pure pairing of choice.
Ads were created in Adobe Illustrator. Hand drawn aspects done with Wacom Bamboo tablet.
