Stamp Marketing Design
I was a student graphic designer at UMD's Student Union marketing office for a year. During that time, I created numerous marketing assets for UMD departments housed within the Student Union, from the arts center to the graduate law office.

During this job, I learned so much about Adobe Illustrator's capabilities. I had mostly been designing in PhotoShop before this, so it was definitely a challenge learning all the nuances of the software.
Creating posters for print demands a different process than branding or social media flyers. These 21'' x 26'' posters would eventually be put up in the student union. I tended to reject sophistication/minimalism in favor of bright colors and fun patterns — I knew I had to design with the audience (think: stressed, distracted student just passing by) in mind.
I also loved paying more attention to the detail in these designs. Poster 1's tiny rainbow flag, Poster 2's little pumpkin leaves, Poster 3's Mexican prayer flags, Poster 4's true-to-life building facade — including these subtle details has become my favorite part of the design process, and I hope they can spark some delight in viewers.
